Saturday. From city sidewalks to bluegrass...and Hustler?!!?

Eins: Philadelphia-Lexington, Kentucky...

...

Zwei: Everything important is been said, I guess. The trip started in the most
perfect way I ever could imagine. Everybody knows, I'm addicted to Diet
Coke. And you know what? However small a resting place is, don't worry! They
sell Diet Coke. Is it a dream?

Für meinen road tripp namen musste ich keine waghalsige mutprobe ablegen, weder akrobatische übungen darbringen, einfach locker hallo zusammen ich bins, nett euch kennenzulernen und schwups you are nr. 3 we hope thats ok. for you.
.. . we give 3 a tray out.
Holliday inn
Ich vermisse meinen dad, thanks for all .. .... . .
love and peace Drü

Four: Renting the car was easy as pie. I thought for certain the other shoe would drop but alas, we got a 2011 silver Hyundai Sonata with 13,400 miles on it in a quite timely manner. How do they get cars to be 2011 when it's July 2010? Anyway, this particular vehicle features many comforting cubbies for one's personal effects. It also offers superb trunk space, rides smoothly, has satellite radio, quick pick-up, but no sun/moon roof. It handled the rain and sun equally well in my opinion and that's saying a lot because I drove the damn thing. We drove over 400 miles on 15 gallons of gas with the AC on. I dig it.

Ok, if you didn't plan ahead as I did and decide you want the cutest little styrofoam cooler in the whole wide world AND you are somewhere in rural WV, you simply must purchase such an item at a GoMart. This fine chain of roadside fueling establishments offers said non-recyclable cooler with it's logo proudly placed, in color, with matching plastic handles to better secure the lid. They must sell a lot of them because they were not covered in "I just sit on the shelf" dust like the toothpaste was.

The drive is wonderful and I am happy to finally visit another state in which I have never been. I'm sure Kentucky looks way cooler from small back roads but seriously, I have seen some amazing pieces of land, horses, and homes from the highway. Also, the clouds were exceptional for the latter part of our trip today. The West Virginia countryside is breathtaking... Oh and the little city of Charleston actually has tall buildings.

We left McKean Street at 10:51am and arrived in Lexington, KY 9:03pm. We stopped for fuel once and twice for resting and eating. We started with about 40 sandwiches and now have about 25. I am very proud of myself for NOT purchasing any meals today, though many evil fast food demons reared their ugly faces to tempt us. We brought our own liquor along but have yet to break the seals on those bottles.

Oh, before I start getting ready for bed, I must mention that we stopped at a welcome center in Kentucky and got a very useful coupon book for hotels. Get this deal: Holiday Inn Express, two double beds, breakfast and wifi included for 4 people.. $64 +tax. Say WHAT!?!? Yeah, ok, twist my arm... I'll take it! Ohhhhhh right.... and it's next door to a Hustler adult entertainment club.
